Reflexology with Cara
Reflexology is the study of reflexes.
Reflexology therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from this study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands and organs of the body.
Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can:
* Relieve Tension;
* Improve Circulation and;
* Support the body's efforts to function optimally.

About Cara
Reflexology with Cara started in October 2025. After many years of experiencing the benefits of reflexology and a desire of helping others, the plunge was taken to start my journey to become a Certified Reflexologist. This is my dream retirement career.
Reflexology with Cara is part-time until I retire in a few years. Sessions will be offered every second Friday and 1-2 evenings depending on my full-time career requirements. I will be registered with Natural Health Practitioners of Canada for insurance benefits. If you don't see a session time that works for you, please reach out.
In addition to being a certified reflexologist, I have also trained in Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD). RLD is a specialized training to provide treatments to clients that have lymphedema.
As a wife, mother of three grown adults (plus the son in law), grandmother of two and two fur baby cats; I understand busy lives. I have a passion in helping clients find relaxation, renewal and relief during a reflexology treatment. It is important to take time for self-care and be balanced in life.
I run Reflexology with Cara out of our home located in resort village of Island View, SK on the shores of Last Mountain Lake and nearby communities of Bulyea, Strasbourg and Silton.
Benefits of Reflexology
Restore Balance and Vitality
Feet tell the stories of our bodies. Explore a reflexology treatment designed to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve circulation and promote wellness. Your initial session will entail the completion of a health history form, which is used to help create a treatment plan tailored for you. Each treatment is customized to cater to your individual health needs, providing a comprehensive approach to healing.
As a reflexology therapist I will not;
* Diagnose
* Prescribe
* Treat for specific conditions
What is Reflexology
Reflexology is a natural, non invasive therapy embracing the whole concepts of holistic treatment. The ears, hands, and feet are microcosms of the body. By stimulating the nerve endings in the ears, hands and feet we send messages along the nerve pathways to various organs. Thus, we stimulate and communicate with the nerve network to the body. We are not diagnosing or treating a specific condition, we are treating an existing imbalance in the energy of the body. There are few other therapies that treat the whole body in such a gentle, non invasive manner which have no adverse side effects. We simply encourage the body to heal itself. This is natures gift to mankind.
STRESS REDUCATION
Reflexology helps calm the nervous system, reducing tension and stress. Reflexology facilitates the Parasympathetic function of Nervous System; which is referred to often as our Rest and Repair System.

Reflexology offers natural pain relief from many alignments such as;
* Headaches
* Joint Pain
* Back Pain

Is Reflexology covered by Insurance
Each insurance firm will cover differently, it is important that you check with your individual insurance plan to see if and how much reflexology coverage you have. See Insurance page for more information.
What to expect during a session
Sit or lay back on massage table fully clothed with your feet exposed (bare feet). I do suggest wearing comfortable pants that can be raised to mid calf.

No problem you will find the ticklish wont be as bad as you think it is and by the time your session is completed you will want your feet touched more often.

These sessions wont cover all of your body systems or focus on areas of concern. An insurance receipt will not be issued for a mini session.

I usually go for massages to help relieve tension, though the pressure can be quite painful. I am so happy to have found that reflexology provides the same tension relief as well as total relaxation with no pain!
